NextBeacon

// for experienced professionals · one-time purchase

Your next role is not in the pile of 300. It is in the five that fit.

Every morning NextBeacon reads the new postings at the companies you choose, scores each one against your real background, and builds a tailored résumé where every number, employer and title is checked against your own CV. Built for people with fifteen or more years of real work behind them.

The job boards are not broken for you. They are broken for everyone.

If you have fifteen years of real work behind you and months of silence in front of you, the numbers say it is not you.

You do not need more applications. You need the right ones, and a résumé you can stand behind.

// why it is different

Built to be right about you, not to send the most applications.

Most tools either rewrite your résumé to please a keyword filter or blast out hundreds of applications in your name. NextBeacon does neither. It helps you choose well, then helps you apply well.

You press Submit. Always.

The Apply button opens the employer's own page with your résumé ready. You read it, you decide, and you send it. Nothing goes out in your name without you, so nothing can embarrass you.

A fact check on every résumé.

Before a résumé is saved, every number, employer, job title, degree and certification is checked word for word against your own CV. A claim that is not in your CV does not get through. Your reputation took twenty years to build; this protects it.

The companies you choose.

You name the companies you would actually be proud to join. NextBeacon finds their job boards, reads the postings they publish, and drops the ones that have since closed. No recycled listings, no ghost jobs from an aggregator.

Private by design.

NextBeacon runs on your own PC with your own Claude account. There is no NextBeacon server, and nothing of yours is stored by us. If you are searching while employed, nobody can tell.

// who it is for

Made for a serious search. Not for everyone, on purpose.

NextBeacon is for you if

  • You have fifteen or more years of real work behind you and a résumé with real numbers in it.
  • You have a list of companies in mind and nobody is watching it for you.
  • You are done with mass applying and the silence that follows.
  • You want to read every résumé and press Submit yourself.
  • You are searching while employed and need it to stay private.

It is not for you if

  • You want hundreds of applications sent for you. That is the opposite of this.
  • You are early in your career. The free boards serve you better right now.
  • You use a Mac. NextBeacon runs on Windows 10 and 11 only.
  • You want a free tool, or a free trial. There is neither.

The tag that has been taped to Rob's monitor for years

// a note from the person who built it

Why I built NextBeacon

I built this for my friends.

Too many people I know and respect, people with twenty years of real work behind them, have spent this year in the application black hole. Sixty applications and silence. A posting that turns out not to exist. A tool that "applied" for them to a role two states away. Watching that happen to good people made me angry enough to build something.

I remember my own hard road into a new industry a few years back: a résumé rewritten a hundred times, hundreds of cover letters, a long list of rejections and a longer list of silences. A tea-bag tag on my monitor said "Settling is Not an Option," and some days it was the only thing keeping me on target. What finally worked was fewer applications, aimed at the companies I actually cared about, with a résumé I never had to apologize for.

NextBeacon is that approach, built into a tool. It is not magic and it cannot promise you an interview. It will tell you honestly which postings fit, build a résumé that is true to your CV, and leave the Submit button to you. If you are in transition, I know the road. You can do this.

// price

One price. Yours to keep.

$299 once

  • One payment. No subscription and no monthly fee to NextBeacon, ever.
  • Licensed for one Windows PC, for your own job search.
  • Self-serve: one installer and a page-by-page setup in plain language. No call needed.
  • Your own Claude plan is the only running cost: about $20 a month, paid to Anthropic, not to us.
  • No free trial.
The arithmetic. $120,000 a year is $2,308 a week ($120,000 ÷ 52). Every week the search runs on is a week of that pay you never collect. If NextBeacon saves you one week, it has paid for itself seven times over. $120,000 is about the U.S. median pay for management jobs (Bureau of Labor Statistics, May 2024: $122,090). Use your own number: last salary ÷ 52.

Before you buy, check that you have

  • A Windows 10 or 11 PC with 8 GB of memory and 4 GB of free disk space. The installer checks this before it installs anything.
  • A paid Claude plan from Anthropic, on an account in your name. Claude Pro at about $20 a month is enough.
  • An internet connection that can reach Claude and the job boards. Home networks usually can; some work networks block them.
  • About fifteen minutes for the guided setup, mostly waiting.
  • Your résumé as a PDF, Word file or text.

// questions

The things people ask before they buy.

Is this another auto-apply tool?

No. NextBeacon never applies to a job for you, in bulk or one at a time. It finds and scores postings and prepares your résumé. You read it, you open the employer's page, and you press Submit. Nothing is ever sent in your name without you.

Will the AI make things up on my résumé?

It is built not to. Before a résumé is saved, every number, employer, job title, degree and certification is checked word for word against your own CV, and anything that is not there is removed. AI can still make mistakes, so read every résumé and letter before you send it. You always have the final say.

I am not technical. Can I set this up?

Yes. You run one installer. It checks that your PC is ready, installs everything it needs, and opens a page-by-page setup that asks plain questions: your résumé, the roles you want, your pay floor, remote or on-site, and the companies to watch. There is no command window and no code. Most people are done in about fifteen minutes.

Where does my information go?

It stays on your PC. Your résumé, your profile and your job history live in files on your own computer. There is no NextBeacon server, and nothing of yours is stored by us. The AI work happens through your own Claude account, under your own name, so posting text and parts of your profile go to Anthropic and nowhere else. The full details are on the privacy page.

What is Claude, and why do I need an account?

Claude is the AI from Anthropic that reads postings, scores them and drafts your résumés. NextBeacon uses it through an account that belongs to you, so your information is never pooled with anyone else's. You pay Anthropic for that plan directly, about $20 a month for Claude Pro. If your plan lapses, the AI features pause until you renew it.

Is there a subscription?

Not to NextBeacon. You pay $299 once and it is yours to keep on one Windows PC. The only running cost is your own Claude plan.

Does it work on a Mac?

Not yet. NextBeacon runs on Windows 10 and 11. If you only have a Mac, please do not buy it yet.

Can it read every company's job board?

Most of them. NextBeacon reads the job boards that companies publish on, and it finds a company's board when you type the company's name. A few large employers block automated reading of their career pages, and those cannot be scanned. You can still add them and check them by hand.

Does it promise interviews or offers?

No, and nobody honestly can. NextBeacon helps you choose well and apply well. A score is an opinion about fit, not a prediction. Whether you get the job depends on you, the employer and the market.

Who is behind this?

Rob Hale, one person in Colorado, who built NextBeacon for friends in a hard market and runs it himself through NextBeacon LLC, a one-person Colorado company. The terms say so plainly. You can reach him at info@mynextbeacon.com, and the help page covers what to expect after you buy.
